About

Juliana Gabriel is an artist and educator from the Chicago area who now resides in Boston. She comes from a family of artists, who inspired her to draw from an early age. She has worked in and shown artwork in many art forms - from traditional painting and printmaking to wearble pieces, video, and digital art (Gelb Gallery at Phillips Academy, Jackson Junge, Gallery 30 South, Tufts Art Sale, Water Street Studios). This lead her to teach fashion illustration as well as other mediums at a local community arts center where she is from, Water Street Studios.

Juliana graduated with a B.A. from Columbia College Chicago where she found a passion for new media such as video art and installation. Juliana is a current in her last semester of her Masters in Teaching Art Education at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts as part of Tufts University. In conjunction with that program, she has worked as a student teacher and substitute teacher in the art room at Brown Middle School in Newton, MA since fall of 2025.
